Redeemer of Israel (SATB)

This song was one of my first hymn arrangements for my ward choir. I chose the hymn because we sang it in church one day and I noticed, for the first time, that it has a 5th verse. I read the lyrics to that verse:

Resore, my dear Savior, The light of thy face;
Thy soul cheering comfort impart,
And let the sweet longing For thy holy place
Bring hope to my desolate heart.

It had a profound impact on me that day as I read those lines. I think it is the best verse of the song, and yet we never sing it. I decided to make an arrangement that used this verse as the apex of the song.

This arrangement purposefully builds up to this last verse. I hope through this arrangement, that last, unsung verse can have the same profound impact on each listener and performer as it did to me on that Sunday when I read that verse for the first time.
