Graceful

This tune is a little more abstract than a lot of my other pieces. The left hand crosses over the right hand to help bring out a hint of a melody. I named it 'Graceful' due to the image I have in my head when I play this piece.

I wrote it with the image of my little girl, Nora, dancing and twirling in slow motion--in a perfect state of gracefulness. When I play a tune she likes, she will spin with her hands stretched out, her head tilted back, eyes closed, and a smile on her face. She seems to be soaking in the moment. It is a precious image. This tune tries to capture that image and the feelings of just 'soaking in the moment' that Nora does so well.

May this piece remind us all to enjoy the moments we are in, and allow the little things in life to bring us joy and contentment.
