God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
This is one of my favorite Christmas tunes to play. In this arrangement, I jazzed it up by adding a bossa-nova style
bass line. I play it so different each time, that I didn't really think that I could write it down. I just turned on the record
button on my piano and played this through, and this is what came out. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoy playing it.
Perhaps the most poignant lines in this carol is the part that gets repeated in the chorus: 'O tidings of comfort and joy'.
Part of Christ's mission is to bring us comfort and joy in this life and the life here after.
Through His grace, mercy, and love, we can experience tremendous joy and comfort in our lives.
May you experience that comfort and joy promised
in the Savior this Christmas season.
