Valor
This is an energetic, macho song. I think of a valiant, brave soldier when I play it, hence the name: Valor.
The song starts out in C minor, which I envision as the tough struggle that is taking place on the battle field. Then
the piece transitions into E flat major, giving it a sense of victory and celebration.
For those of you familiar with the stories in the Book of Mormon, I think the story of Helaman and the 2000 stripling warriors
is a perfect example of the type of valiant courage the song is meant to convey.
Play it with the type of courage and conviction the title is trying to convey and you'll get the audience ready to
follow you into battle!
